While the website has great resources and materials for you to use, it doesn’t allow you to actually sit the maths qualification. Learners will want to take this with the aim of getting their functional skills certificate so they must do that through qualified registered exam centres. This could be through a college near you or you have the option of taking it in your own time in the comfort of your own home without taking the full course. This suits many people, especially the older adults who have other everyday responsibilities to attend to. For someone to qualify for support through this scheme they must meet the eligibility criteria like not already having a GCSE grade C/Level 4 or functional skills maths level 2 qualification. It is also being designed to target specific industry fields so that everyone has the option of selecting their sector whether that is in line with their current jobs or future potential careers. The content of the resources like practice exercises and video explanations make the whole thing easier to learn and just a more enjoyable learning experience.
